The man who invented the hole camera finally gets the recognition he deserves. Inventor Henry Ornstein will be in initiated in the Poker Hall of Fame in November.
Few things, if any, has revolutionized poker as much as the hole camera. With it we saw the birth of televised poker as we know it. TV shows such as World Poker Tour would never have become a huge success if the viewers couldn't see the cards of the players. And once it was televised the interest for poker multiplied and aspiring players were flooding the online poker rooms. The rest is as we say - history.
The inventor and poker player Henry Ornstein will be honored November 9 at the World Series of Poker final table. If anyone has any doubts whether the guy is a genius or not, let me just tell you this: the guy created Transformers! Nuff said.
