Bodog founder Calvin Ayre launched a new site that’s supposed to be “the only site you need” for poker industry insiders.
There are articles and videos on gaming industry related stuff, using a pretty wide definition of gaming industry related. Some of the stuff seems really interesting, no question about that.
But there’s something weird about this site. Let me see, what is it, what can it be?
See if you can find it:
At first, everything seems normal and logical. HOME, sure. CALVIN, obviously. ABOUT, standard. ARTICLES, of course. GIRLS, hell yeah.
But wait a minute, GIRLS?! What the hell is that about?
Why would a single stop web resource for gaming industry insiders have a section with GIRLS?
I can only come up with three explanations for the GIRLS section:
1. Calvin Ayre thinks all women in the industry are lesbians. I’m sure this is a wet dream for some guys in the industry, but for most women, watching half naked ladies simply isn’t interesting.
2. Calvin Ayre doesn’t give a shoot about the women in the industry. Except as objects for his male desire. The site is intended for men only.
3. Calvin Ayre simply hasn’t given these things much thought. He just hasn’t realized how humiliating his GIRLS sextion (oops) is for women in the gaming industry.
I have no guess here. It’s all a mysterious cloud of male intuition to me.

I completely disagree! I am a 27 year old female working in the industry and I absolutely love the girls section of CalvinAyre.com. I am not a lesbian. I am happily married… to a MAN. And I don’t believe I’m the only women that can appreciate a beautiful women. I suspect the women who have a problem with this type of thing are either insecure or prudes. Sorry.
