Anurag Dikshit, co-founder of Party Gaming, has pleaded guilty of illegal internet gambling and will pay a fine of $300,000,000.

According to an article in the Financial Times, one of the big names behind Party Poker has agreed to pay $300 million to US authorities and plead guilty to the charge relating to illegal internet betting.

Pays $300M to escape pressure

"Mr Dikshit is believed to have found the pressure too much and is ready to risk jail to draw a line under the matter", says FT.com.

At Poker Junkie we don't even want to imagine what kind of pressure you need to put on a person to make him prefer two years in prison plus a $300M fine.

The scale of his crimes

And for what? For offering US citizens the possibility to carry on an American tradition? To let them take pleasure in their favorite pastime? Out of their free will?

Oh what a bad, bad man he must be.

Meanwhile, it's every person's right to carry a lethal weapon.

PS On another note, if he can even consider paying a sum of 300,000,000 dollars, how much more has he raked off the poker playing community?

PPS But most of all we're concerned about the names of the people involved in this affaire. Mr. Dickshit ["An insult so vile and low it can only be used to describe the most horrifically cruel and evil person"], Mrs. Parasol, Judge Rake-off?!?! Fold.
