(Cue "My Boyfriends Back" music.) Phil Ivey's back. Online bankrolls are in trouble.

In case you missed it, Phil Ivey, playing as Polarizing, is currently the top high stakes earner online for November. This is the first time we've been able to say this for Phil this year as he has been struggling hard to get anything going.

So what's changed? Simply, he has started winning again in 8-Game. Taking a look at his stats on highstakesdb.com and 8-Game has been the bane of his existence in 2014.

His low point was in August 2014 when he was down $2.24 million on the year in that game alone. Since the beginning of October, he has been on a steady uptick and is only down $1.4 million on the year in that game.

Over the last 30 days, Ivey has excelled at 8-Game and is up $615,000 in the game for November. His overall earnings this month would have been better if not for Draw games. He has swung hard in those games, down over $500,000 at one point. Currently he is only down $50k in Draw games.

Omaha Hi-Lo has been another swingy game for him this month. He was up over $362k at one point but is up only $77k presently.

The one thing that is clear is that Phil has been dedicating a lot of time to poker this month. He's played 105 sessions and over 20,000 hands, tops among those listed on HSD.

His recent uptick is good news and bad news for online poker. The good news is that Ivey is back and playing regularly. The bad news is that it appears that he has begun winning again.

It will be interesting to see how much he can recover by the end of the year. Despite his winning month, Ivey is still down $1.89 million in 2014.
