Monday, Jan 26, 2009 Official: Doyle Brunson Bets on Living Through 2009
If Doyle Brunson dies in 2009, Mack Rawden wins one of the craziest prop bets ever.
Mack Rawden is the man who wrote CinemaBlend's "100 Most Likely People to Die in 2009". He listed Doyle Brunson in 16th place with a 10% chance to die from obesity.
Doyle immediately responded on his blog and wanted to make a bet with the "clown" who wrote the list:
"He said obesity would cause my death. He should have seen me 5 years ago when I was 130 lbs heavier. Anyway, he said it was a 10% chance I would die. I would like to lay 10-1 for any amount if anybody knows this joker," Brunson wrote on his blog.
Now it is official: Mack Rawden bets $1,000 that Doyle Brunson will die in 2009. If Rawden wins, one of Doyle's friends will cover the bet ($10,000). The parties have agreed that all winnings will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
