What to do when a player won't respect your raise?
I was playing a home game last night with 5 guys. I was drunk but i was still there.
Anyways..Every time i raise preflop with a allright hand the one guys calls me every time with crap or re-raises then comes out firing on the flop.
It was really starting to piss me off because he only does it to me it seems. We'll i got sick of getting pushed around and lost. And sat back thinking about how bad i played and the mistakes i made.
Tonight we will probably play again. And i think im going to come out playing real loose, raising with garbage to set the pace at the table.
This guy only wins when he pushes people around early and gets chips from the crappy players that bust out in the first 5 hands. If i get out to a good start he ends up losing pretty quick.
Anyone have any tips on getting under this guys skin so he don't go over the top on me every hand?
When i do get good cards like AK he will call with garbage and hit his cards its really annoying.
I have beaten this guy many times. Usually with a trap that he bets into. Should i go back to trapping him?

RE: What to do when a player won
Try raising with a lot more money. If you know you got a good hand try raising x4 the big blind in this case x5 cause you got a loose player.
Yes it is a good idea to go back to trapping if he bets with nothing. In this case most of the time.

Mabye in fact his cards were better then yours and he was getting lucky hitting the flops. You just have to let it go and move on to the next hand. Let him make the mistakes, If you wait for the right momennt you will catch him/ get all his chips. A lot of people worry to much about calling out other peoples bluffs, and let thier ego get in the way. If I think somoene is bluffing and I have a low pair and know im a head, I will still fold usually because its just not worth it. I would rather let them take the small pots, and wait for a better spot. Who knows - they could have flopped 2 pair or a set at the right moment, and you think they are bluffing. Just let it go and wait

try seeing the flop, and let the bets come too you, if you hit your flop,, trash him at the river...if not fold...raising pre-flop is not a good way to win..unless you have a rep.

Raising preflop is not the best way too win????
Ok..So i should limp in with AK and let the 72os hit one of his cards???
I've played long enough to know that, that is the absolute best way to lose.
I do have a rep as the tightest player at the table. They might be taking advantage of it. Knowing ill fold if i don't hit the flop.
Thanks for the input mario, but i disagree with not raising preflop.

I am sometimes in a similar situation. When people don't respect my raises, I just wait for some really good hands and keep betting with them the whole way. If they decide to raise me, I've probably got the best hand and don't have to worry.
Raise preflop with that AK, and when you hit top pair, keep leading out on the flop, turn and river against people who will call with bad hands. If he hits his miracle two pair, so be it. More times than not, you'll be the victor. Don't get too loose and go on tilt. Thoughts?

If he raises you pre-flop, put him all in. If he bets the flop, put him all in. If he checks the flop, put him all in. In fact, every time you think you have a playable hand, if he is in the pot, put him all in everytime. He will soon learn to fear you and stop the messing.
