Friday, Mar 4, 2011 Monthly $1k Freeroll for Poker Junkie Players Leads Cake Promos

Poker Junkie players on Cake Poker are in for a good month with a new $1k freeroll leading a pack of new and returning promos.

Freerolls for Poker Junkie Players

First up, if you sign up for a new account via Poker Junkie you're eligible for two freerolls.

Make your first deposit and you'll automatically get a ticket to the Cake $500 new depositor freeroll, held every Saturday.

New depositing players who then earn 1 FPP during the month also qualify for a $1k freeroll the following month.

The $1k will be an ongoing monthly freeroll (Apr. 10, May 8 and June 12 to start) with new players who earn 1 FPP and existing players who earn 100 FPPs in the previous month eligible.

Two For the Money

Back by demand and running through Mar. 28, Cake players can also get paid to multi-table in the Two for the Money promotion.

Each week, players will be required to meet hand targets while playing at least two tables at a time. If the targets are met, players earn entry into that week's kamikaze tournament.

(A kamikaze tournament is one where players are forced all-in every hand. If you win the hand, you move on until the final table is reached and a winner is determined).

Champions League Tournament Series

The popular Champions League Tournament Series also returns in March.

Tournaments will be held nightly on each day of the Champions League matches, meaning March 8, 9, 15 and 16.

Buy-ins are $10+$1 each and if a player cashes in two tournaments in the same week, he or she will be awarded an extra $50.

Irish Open and 2011 WSOP Main Event Satellites

If you haven't won your seat into this year's Irish Open, you'll have one more shot in March.

On the 27th, the last $374 buy-in final will be held with seats being awarded for every $7,000 in the prize pool. Packages for the Irish Open include the €3,500 buy-in to the event, hotel stay and $1,500 to help with travel expenses.

Satellites to the semi-finals are held daily and each Sunday there is a semi-final event paying seats into the final.

Satellites for the 2011 WSOP Main Event are now underway as well with a series of multi-table tournaments and Sit-n-Go step tournaments.

Multi-table tournaments lead to a weekly final awarding the winner a $13,000 prize package and the daily step tournaments lead to a final that awards the winning player a $2,500 prize package
