Texas Calculatem Review

User Review: Texas Calculatem - Submitted by SuitedCrabs (Score: 1)

Pros:

- Over 50 online sites supported
- Easy drag & drop function
- Mini Mode for those who like less clutter
- Has minimal, but some potential

Cons:

- Not aware of blind structure/betting amount/pot size
- Crappy Interface
- Really conservative advice (call, no raise with AQ)
- Won't work if you are covering the online poker software?!? ("Game Window covered")
- $40 to buy
- Other software programs like this usually offer a lot more

Additional Information

From www.calculatem.com

Texas Calculatem's? intuitive interface shows you your exact situation at a glance. The table, advice bar, and odds chart give you just enough information without being too overwhelming. A novice may choose to simply follow the advice given. More experienced users will find the additional info, including odds of making certain hands, odds of one of your opponents making certain hands, # outs, pre-flop hand strength & Sklansky score, very useful. In the fast paced online environment, it is essential to have a calculator watching along with you.

Conclusion:

Not worth the money. Unless you are new to poker, I would never invest more than $10 on this. It is horrible in a lot of ways. This had potential but it is obvious the programmers didn't put enough time into it. I would definitely try to avoid supporting this program and find something else.

My friend and I used this program once.... and ONLY ONCE... He was very pissed about buying it and ended up destroying it in a fire... but I guess you just have to know the guy to find that funny... but I just say save your money for something else.....

10x for the review but I think that this kind of program shouldn't exist. You have a mind and you can do with the mind much more that this program can tell you.

And if you have $40 to spend on this program I think that you;ll be clever to spend it on the table.

I don't think I?ll use something like that, not because I can count the statistics but just that I would feel like cheating

I like this site, though I realize that opinion is not shared by everyone. I would suggest you try it out for yourselves.

I like it. Not sure if it would be that good though, would not want to put my money on it.

IF you play limit, this program could be great, i dont know, but I found it to be virtually worthless. Oh, the odds are nice to see, but trust me, you dont always want to know your odds. I found it to be useless in NL. This should be freeware, becuase it wont hold your interest long....muck it.

After reading the reviews, its obvious people do not know how to use this. Yes, the program DOES suggest the move to make (ex. raise, fold, call/check) but WHY WOULD YOU LISTEN TO THIS?! Rather, it will read your hand and give you real time pot odds. For example, how many of you know the percentage of the time you will hit a flush w/ suited hole cards and two common suits on the flop? This will tell you. It will give you odds, which you can relate to your game for betting purposes. It calcualtes odds, not tell you how to play. This isn't a POKER BOT. Why do people not understand this.?!?
