Pros:
this book is great for beginners and amatures. if you want to learn or already know how and want to get better, this is the book for you. it teachs you alot of things that playing online or watching the WSOP or the WPT. for a more in depth description, read the additional information
Cons:
I can't really see any cons to this book. the only thing that is bad about it is sometimes it will make certain topics longer than they need to be. but all the sections are labeled so you can just skip it if you don't want to read it
Additional Information
For anyone that is a beginner or an amature and wants to greatly improve their game, i strongly suggest reading this book. Included in the book are a list of playable hands in certain positions around the board, how to do both pot odds and probablity precentage on catching cards, how to get players on tilt, stratagies on playing the game and on setting up a home game if you don't live near a card room. The book is written by Phil Gordon who is a 2 time WPT champion and is a human calculator. He breaks everything down so that you can understand all the equations to calculate the odds and makes them easy to remember. I have just finshed this book and i would strongly suggest for anyone to read it. even if you are a really good player, it couldn't hurt to read it. Its around $20 and is hard cover and i think 200-250 pages. there is just so much to be learned from this book, even if you aren't going to buy it i suggest you look it up online because you might be drawn in to getting it. It really has greatly improved my game and i have become an overall better player. the following are two links. the first one is to Phil Gordons site and the second one is the page about the book. i strongly suggest atleast checking out the one about the book.
Conclusion:
On this book i say buy buy buy. put your buy-in for this weekend's game to the book and i almost garentee if you read it within the week that you will be taking home a part of next weeks game.

Seems like an average book. Only for begginers and amatures. I would prefer rreading a experts book however since i know all the basics already.
