Pros:

This book is an excellent read for any poker player at any level, Even though I think Psychology is a very boring topic sometimes it is an important part of poker and I think the author Alan Shoonmaker wrote the book in an excellent format that makes it easy to understand and relates well to poker and understanding your opponents and what they think and why they think that way. This book will help you categorize each player and know how they'll play based on the way they think. This book is also useful in finding about ourselves, the book contains alot of quizes that will help you better understand why you play poker and your strengths and weaknesses.

Cons:

I don't have anything negative to say about this book, I thought it was well written and MUST for any serious poker player.

Conclusion:

While The Psychology of Poker is probably the best book written on the mind of the poker player, there is more strategic advice and less psychology than I would have expected or liked. The book is certainly worth reading, not just to understand our opponents, but also to understand ourselves. However, the ultimate book on poker psychology has yet to be written. I do recommend it, however.
