Wednesday, Feb 10, 2010 UB Sends Players to LA Poker Classic (WPT)

With satellites and step tournaments starting at 10 cents, anyone has a shot at winning a seat in the LA Poker Classic Main Event on February 26.

Last year, the LA Poker Classic (WPT event) had a prize pool of 6.5 million dollars, and it's expected to be even bigger this time around.

UB Poker offers a range of qualifier tournaments for players who find the $10,000 too steep.

Daily Satellites

Starting at $10, these daily satellites award seats in the next Sunday Super Satellite, see below.

Sunday Super Satellites

Your best odds of qualifying to the LAPC is through the $500 Super Satellites taking place on three Sundays in February: 7, 14 and 21.

The Super Satellites award $12,000 packages, that is, a seat to the LAPC Main Event plus $2000 in spending money. Each satellite has one package guaranteed, so depending on the number of entrants there might be an overlay.

Step tournaments

For the really cautious, the UB Step tournaments give you the opportunity to enter in play for the ludicrous cost of a mere 10 cents.

Admittedly, the odds of going all the way through ten steps and win a $12K package are pretty slim, but on the other hand you're not risking much either.

Of course, you can also go in on a higher step. But if you're really good, you can certainly make it from step 1 too.

After all someone has to win, right?
