Wednesday, Jun 18, 2008 Hollink World Champion in Limit Holdem
Highly qualified Dutch pro Rob Hollink survived more than 200 players to become the 2008 WSOP Champion in Limit Texas Holdem. Hollink's headsup victory over Jerrod Ankenman was worth $500,000.
Hollink is the man who won the first EPT Championship ever, in 2005. He's Holland's second biggest tournament winner ever, second only to Marcel Luske.
Hollink entered the Event 30, the 2008 WSOP $10,000 Limit Texas Holdem Championship, together with 217 other contestants such as JC Tran (5), Andy Bloch (7) and Alexander Kravcheno (27).
After a short headsup match against Jerrod Ankenman, Hollink was the last man standing and won $500K, the championship title and his first WSOP bracelet (after 18 in-the-money finishes).
