Hi-Stakes Poker Reality Show with Krantz et al - Poker News
A reality TV series about young, high-stakes online poker players winning and losing colossal amounts while having the time of their lives. This can be reality if the upcoming pilot of 'House of Cards' is successful.
Young and uninhibited online poker wizards in a house in Las Vegas, playing online poker at the very highest stakes, partying like nuts and daring each other in crazy stunts, how could 'House of Cards' not be a success story?
A half hour pilot is just about to be filmed by gaming channel G4. If it is as good as it should be, another six to eight full episodes of reality show will be shot and aired on a network yet to be disclosed.
Four of the most prominent online kids form the core of the show: Krantz, Whitelime, FoxwoodsFiend and Flawless Victory - all titanic stars in the global online poker subculture.
They actually met around the internet poker tables and became friends, probably after having taken each others' bankrolls a couple of times.
In the pilot we will be invited to tag along with them in their high roller Vegas routine, playing incredibly high stakes online, dining with class and partying away at the most fashionable clubs.
From Krantz' blog:
"This project was in development for almost 18 months before we got the greenlight. It was shopped around at MTV, HBO, and a buncha other networks that passed for various reasons, some of which included that "they wished one of us would have a drug addiction or go broke," or "loved it! now make two of them girls!".
The premise of the pilot is that we will all be playing games of poker over the course of 1 week trying to meet some arbitrary cumulative $ goal. The person who earns the least will be forced to do some ridiculous stunt, dare, punishment, etc. There will be a big party and some other sweet sillyness, like footage of my dunk training and possibly flying F14 jets. There is an awesome house. We live in it.
The 4 main characters are myself, whitelime, FWF, and flawless. I'll hopefully be allowed to post updates here as we shoot and give some insight into how this kinda thing works, and maybe some more backstory on how this little project started way back when."
