The poker TV-show High Stakes Poker will be b

Recently there have been rumors circulating in the poker world that the greatest poker TV-show of all time, High Stakes Poker, will be cancelled. The guy responsible for the rumors was none else than the co-host AJ Benza. But GSN, the producers of the show, have now discounted all the rumors and announced that a fifth season of High Stakes Poker will be made. 

If you haven't seen High Stakes Poker yet you have really missed out. No other TV-show allows you to see legend Doyle Brunson mumbling while throwing wads of cash into the pot. Almost all the cool stars appear - or how about Phil Ivey, Phil Laak, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman, Patrik Antonius and Sammy Farha, to name only a few. Ad to this the hosts former poker pro and Tv-star Gabe Caplan and co-host AJ Benza along with hundreds of thousands in cash at the table and you have the perfect poker show.

But it seemed like it all would come to an end. In an interview earlier this year AJ Benza said: "Far as Gabe and I know….the show isn't coming back. Apparently…the network is going to go in a different direction and that ain't good news for our show, especially since we skew a higher-aged audience. Never mind that we're the network's No. 1 show."

It didn't look good at all but GSN recently renounced the rumors. Jennifer Minezaki, Director of Public Relations at GSN issued a statement saying: "GSN has picked up the option on the 5th season of High Stakes Poker and continues to enjoy poker on its air." So have no fear, the show will go on!
