Hellmuth Plays With Silicon Valley Billionaires

Phil Hellmuth isn't known for his cash-game prowess so maybe that's why gets to be a regular in one of Silicon Valley's richest poker home games.

Some of those that normally participate in Hellmuth's regular game include Zynga founder Mark Pincus, Survey Monkey CEO Dave Goldberg, Yammer creator David Sacks, NBA star David Lee and founder of Social Capital Chamath Palihapitiya.

Hellmuth said, "In general, great businessmen are great poker players. There's a reason these guys made so much money in the real world. These skills translate to poker."

Hellmuth is one of poker's all-time money leaders in tournament play but has not exactly had the best showings in cash games.

High Stakes Poker Not Returning - For Now

A few weeks ago rumors began swirling around the poker community about a possible return of the great High Stakes Poker on GSN. The station conducted a survey regarding the show and many assumed a return was on the horizon.

Some even hinted it may be connected to PokerStars' return to the U.S. market.

Now it is December, PokerStars has yet to arrive and the same is true about High Stakes Poker. According to reports Poker PROductions have not been contacted by GSN regarding a new season of the highly popular cash game program.

Should High Stakes Poker return it is assumed it would become a rolling commercial for PokerStars and Full Tilt. Odds are that the show would be produced at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City.

Phil Galfond Engaged

High stakes pro and trainer Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond is officially off the market. He recently put a ring on Farah Fath, his girlfriend of two years.

Galfond took to Twitter on Wednesday to reveal the news, stating, "Sorry guys...I have some awful news: PG is off the market. Engaged to the smart, funny, talented, incredible & (secretly) sweet @FarahFromKY"

According to reports he wrote Fath a 12-page love letter, gave her a bottle of wine that they had shared on their first date and a rocking 3-carat diamond ring.

The couple will be married next year in Las Vegas.
