Gus Plummets Again, Joe Cada Takes Sunday Brawl
Gus Hansen started March on a huge winning streak but has recently gone on an epic cooler. In the last few days Hansen has dropped over $1.6 million online to move past $17 million in lifetime losses.
Also, 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada took down his first online title in over four years.
Gus Hansen Loses $1.69m in a Week - Down $17 Million Lifetime
Gus Hansen started out the month of March like a house on fire but in the last week he has looked like the same old Gus.
After winning over $1.2 million in high-stakes action this month Hansen has dropped over $1.69 million since April 19.
During his upswing Hansen had cut his 2014 losses to just $500,000 but now he is down $2.24 million on the year. His recent cooler moves Hansen past $17 million in lifetime losses online.
Since returning to online poker in 2012 Hansen has dropped a staggering $13.9 million. Black Friday was not kind to Hansen as it killed an epic heater that saw him win $7 million in six months.
Joe Cada Wins Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl
Former WSOP Main Event champ Joe "jcada99" Cada took down his first online poker tournament in over four years on Sunday when he won the Full Tilt Sunday Brawl.
The event drew a field of 688 players and had a prize pool of $214,400.
Cada defeated "Wu_Wizard" heads-up to take the title and $42,880. Cada's last online victory came in 2009, the same year he won the 2009 WSOP Main Event. The $42,880 prize was the fifth largest cash of his online career.
The 2009 Main Event champion has over $9.6 million in live earnings but just $625,906 in online tournament earnings. His largest online score came in 2008 when he won the $750,000 guarantee on Full Tilt Poker for $147,488.
