Wednesday, Mar 18, 2009 Gus Hansen has won over $2 million in the last three days

There's always a lot of talk about Gus Hansen being a high stakes fish, but it seems like the man himself always gets the last laugh. In the last three days he has been smoking hot and won over $2 million at the highest stakes at Full Tilt Poker. So far this year he's up over $3.5 millions, but his swings are huge.

According to Highstakes Database that tracks the biggest cash games online Gus Hansen lost more than $700 000 in 2007 and over $600 000 in 2008. But in a recent interview at Poker Listings Gus said that these figures weren't correct and that his own stats show that he is winning. This was later confirmed by Highstakes Database. They explained that the site only monitored no-limit holdem and PLO in 2007 and 2008 and that Hansen was a big winner at the mixed tables during this period.

There is no doubt that The King of Swing is winning in 2009. The action at Full Tilt Poker has been crazy during the last days and in only the last three Hansen has is up over $2 millions. He won over $900 k from the Dang brothers (Urindanger and trex313) during the weekend and has also been taking durrrr, tsarrast and Phil Ivey for a big chunk of change in the last days.  Gus Hansen has won over $3.5 million this year - so maybe, just maybe he isn't a fish after all. Only time will tell.
