"Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide: Tournament Edition" by Andy Bloch et al
The Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide Tournament edition is a terrific manual for those looking to score in tournament poker.
Super/System for Tournaments
The appeal of the famous Super/System, edited by Doyle Brunson, is not just that it was collected by one of the greats of the game, but that it was a collection of different topics, all by greats of the game. A seven-card stud expert wrote a section on seven-card stud, a five-card draw expert wrote an expert on five-card draw and so on.
Full Tilt Poker has done the same thing for tournaments. Since no-limit Texas hold'em is the tournament game of choice, so experts as diverse as Howard Lederer, Phil Gordon and Andy Bloch write individual sections on no-limit Texas hold'em tournaments.
Guide to Other Tournaments
The book does not leave off at no-limit hold'em tournaments, however. There are sections on Omaha tournaments and seven-card stud tournaments as well.
This is great for poker players who are not part of the traditional no-limit Texas hold'em community, but would like to play in tournaments.
Utility of the Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide
If you're looking to improve your tournament play using tips from proven experts at the game, the Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide is for you.
Even if you don't find every single section helpful, you are bound to find at least one, and probably many that enhance your understanding of the game and help you become a better tournament poker player.
