Antonius Full Tilt

The Rational Group, owners of both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, confirmed this week it will rebranded FTP and begin offering online casino games. According to Erik Hollreiser, Head of Corporate Communications:

"The Rational Group intends to expand our product offering to include casino style games on Full Tilt Poker. While adding new games, we remain committed to building our leadership in poker with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker and continuing to deliver the highest quality poker experience to players.

"These new games on Full Tilt will provide more gaming options with the same high quality player experience, integrity, security, safety and support that players have come to expect from our brands. PokerStars will continue to offer a Poker-only experience."

An expansion into casino gaming might give Rational Group a way to compete against sites such as Bwin.party who offer more than just poker. It may also provide another tool to compete in the US market in states that legalize online casino games in the future.

WPT to Host $100k+ Super High-Roller Series

The first event will kick off on August 26th at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. Larry Mullin, COO of Seminole Gaming welcomed the event stating that "Adding WPT Alpha8 Florida to the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule raises the volume on this already highly anticipated series, including our $10 million guarantee Main Event."

Bovada Releases Odds on the November Nine

For those looking to place bets on the 2013 WSOP November Nine, the odds have now been released. As expected, JC Tran is currently listed at 9/5 to win the Main Event, making him the betting favorite. As the chip leader Tran will start the final table with 38 million in chips.

Amir Lehavot comes in at 9/2 to win after making the November Nine with 29,700,000. David Benefield and Mark Newhouse are the short stacks and are 15/1 underdogs to win it all.

For those unfamiliar with betting lines, the numbers represent how much someone can make on a single bet. For example, JC Tran at 9/5 means that someone must wager $5 to win $9. In regards to the short stacks, a $1 bet would result in a $15 win should one of the short stacks take down the Main Event.
