Epic heads-up match between durrrr and Ziigmu

There was some really wild high-stakes action between durrrr and Ziigmund on Full Tilt Poker today. In the end durrrr had the best of it winning close to $1 million in a game that saw one of the biggest pots in online poker history.

So far this year Illari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies has been one of the biggest winners in the high stakes games online and Tom 'durrrr' Dwan has been the players that has lost the most, but all this might be changing. As you could read in our last high-stakes report Sahamies won $800 k from Patrik Antonius yesterday and he was up over $2.7 millions so far this year. And at the same time Dwan has been struggling with losses of over $3.5 millions. But his luck seemed to be turning when he won about $800 k in the last few days.

In a really wild $500/$1,000 mixed heads up match today durrrr managed to win $1 million from Ziigmund. The biggest pot in the game amounted to $594 k making it one of the largest pots ever played online. The biggest pot up to date contained $724 k, a pot that durrrr lost with KK against Urindanger's AA. But today he didn't loose.

Ziigmund three betted preflop with 7h-Tc-Kh-2c and durrrr decided to only call with Ad-6d-2s-Ac. The flop came Jd-Qd-As. This was a really good for Ziigmund who hit the nut flush. But it was even better for durrrr, who flopped top set with a nut flush draw making him a 65 to 35 percent favorite. Ziigmund bet out pot, durrrr raised and Ziigmund played it caoutious only calling with his Broadway straight. The turn was the blank 7c. Ziigmund bet pot again and this time durrrr only called. The board paired with the Js on the river, Ziigmund went all in and durrrr called with his jacks full of aces bringing home the $594 k pot.

When the smoke had cleared durrrr walked away with a $1 million profit. But the swings are large at the highest stakes and it's probably safe to say that we'll se more from durrrr and Ziigmund at Full Tilt Poker very soon.
