Monday, Mar 30, 2009 Doyle is Ready for Antonius
When Patrik Antonius has completed the durrrr Challenge, he will have to take on Doyle Brunson in weird games like 5 Card Draw Lowball, Badugi and Greek Hold'em.
Long before the durrrr Challenge was initiated by Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Patrik Antonius said in an interview with CardPlayer that he would play against Doyle Brunson in any game for any amount. Doyle accepted the challenge and recently revealed which games he wants to play.
When the Finnish Full Tilt Pro sees the list of games Doyle has put together, he might regret opening his big mouth. Because it won't be Pot-Limit Omaha and No-Limit Texas Hold'em, but games like 5 Card Draw Lowball, Badugi and Greek Hold'em instead.
That's just a few of the games Doyle has chosen. You can find the complete list on his blog.
Keep in mind that even though they seem strange, these aren't games Doyle has made up himself. He points out that he has played them all in Las Vegas Casinos, for high stakes.
As far as PokerJunkie knows, no date has been set for the Antonius-Brunson match, but we hope it will be played in the near future. Not only because Doyle might die at any moment, but because it will be fun to see the look on Antonius' face when Doyle puts in a big raise in a game of Pot-Limit Poppyha (four hole cards, only two cards on the flop, then the turn, then the river.)
