At this writing, around ten sites have joined the Merge network, and several are on their way in. By continued efforts to close new partnerships, Merge currently grows faster than most other networks in the industry.
Maybe the best poker software
Merge Gaming Network is still run by the same management and staff as its previous network. They obviously know what they're doing. Along a number of other strong assets, the Merge poker software is very popular among the players. Actually it's often mentioned as one of the best on the market.
Although Poker.com was a great domain name, it involved some problems when it came to marketing and advertising of real money gambling. With the new Carbon Poker brand plus the well-tried .net strategy, much more advertising is available in conventional media. In this way, they can also make the most of the precious television exposure that the site's pro players create by playing the big live poker tournaments.
Reliable operator in online gaming
Carbon Poker and Merge Gaming are regulated by the Kahnawake gaming commission, a major gaming regulator operating from the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake (which means "man eaters"), located in Toronto, Canada.

Hi Chucky. The site poker.com is not a poker room anymore, it's an affiliate promoting all kinds of poker rooms. PDC Poker is a room in the Merge Network, together with Carbon and around 30 others. Kahnawake is in Quebec, thank you for pointing this out. Apparently, the people in Kahnawake are Mohawks, which means “man-eaters”. However, this is not their own designation, though. They call themselves Kanien’kehá:ka, People of the Flint (according to Wikipedia.)

I have major problems with your post concerning Poker.com becoming Carbon. Poker.com never closed or changed to Carbon. They merely decided to promote Carbon primarily instead of poker.com. They do exist and ARE excepting new members as PDC poker and to my knowledge NEVER refused new membership. Kahnawake means "with the rapids" and is located just south of the Island of Montreal.
