Thursday, Nov 27, 2008 Borgata Winter Open Removed from WPT Schedule
The rumors have been confirmed: the Borgata Winter Open has been removed from the World Poker Tour season 7 schedule.
The WPT tournament was schedule to be played Jan. 25-29 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, but instead a replacement event will be held.
The Borgata Winter Open has been part of the WPT since season 4. Last year, 507 player entered the tournament, which was won by Gavin Griffin, who took home $1,401,109 in prize money.
With the Borgata Winter Open taken out, this is what the rest of the WPT season 7 schedule looks like:
