Making Money from Rakeback - Fact or Fiction?

You hear it all the time, online grinders claiming that they make most of their money from rakeback. I’m sorry but that’s just upside-down. Rakeback means that you get back a piece of the money you’ve paid to the poker room. How could you make money by first paying money and then getting part of it back? It doesn’t make sense.

Everest Poker Sues Harrah's Over Breach of Contract

Check this out. According to Pokerati[http://pokerati. com/2010/04/02/everest-poker-sues-wsop-2010-world-series-loses-on-the-felt-sponsor/#more-15800], Everest Poker has backed out of the third year of it's deal with the WSOP as its on felt sponsor. They were scheduled to pay Harrah's over $8 Million this year for the last of a three year deal.

Phil Ivey Suspended for Multi-Accounting

Full Tilt Poker announced today that Phil Ivey's red pro status has been suspended for six months following an investigation that revealed multi-accounting on his part. Full Tilt's media liaison April Lewbonky told media members in attendance "Mr. Ivey has been spotted playing under the account "Studdly" in lower stake games on the sites and in smaller tournaments. For those of you that don't follow smaller events closely, Dwyte Pilgrim recently won his third WSOP Circuit ring at Harrah's Rincon. Quite an accomplishment for the young pro, especially since he just won his first ring last year. Wicked Chops Poker asked if he was the best Minor League Pro out there. This got me to thinking about Poker in the terms of Baseball.
