Why I Believe Russ Hamilton's WSOP Banner Should Be Displayed
This past Thursday, Allen Kessler tweeted the following:
whose *banner* magically reappeared at the *wsop*?

The picture tweeted was of the banner of 1994 WSOP Main
Event Champion Russ Hamilton.

What if Poker Players Legally Changed Their Names?
Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest has legally changed his
name to Metta World Peace. To quote WWE Superstar The Miz, really?
At least his intentions are good. He is trying to inspire
and bring youth together as a result of his name change. Naturally, this got me thinking about poker players that
might consider legally changing their names.

Russ Hamilton Gets Pwned - Blows Gasket - Still an Asshole
There is currently an epic thread over at TwoPlusTwo forums
regarding a trip that users "Slifdog" and "billysharkey"
made to a Florida poker room. In the 5/10/20 NL game they
were playing in was none other than UltimateBet Cheating
mastermind Russ Hamilton. Below is an except from the post
"Billy proceeds to engage Russ in conversation. Russ is
clueless for the first few pleasantries, but then Billy
starts to get under Russ's skin with an array of subtle
verbal abuses that imply that Russ is karmic-ally screwed
unlovable rat with no chance of having real friends and that
Russ will have to always look over his shoulder and fear for

Cheating in Online Poker Happens Every Day - Get Used to It
Recently, WickedChopsPoker published an article going into
detail about the UB super user scandal and many of the names
involved with assisting Russ Hamilton in moving around
money. Also, a Chinese collusion ring was revealed on
PokerStars where several players would join and play
numerous double or nothing sit n go tournaments. These
stories just go to reinforce one important truth that one
must realize when playing online poker and that you must
ALWAYS look out for cheaters. People cheat at online poker.

WSOP Commentary: Poker and Morality
For a few weeks now, I have been pondering poker and
morality. While some believe that the two are mutually
exclusive of each other, it has become quite evident what
crimes are unforgivable. *Abuse Can Be Overlooked*
Some of you may remember my memories of John Bonetti and how
I have said in the past he has reminded me of my
grandfather. Well, one thing that John and my grandfather
shared was a fiery temper.

counting how many days the series has been going cause we
ran out of fingers and toes, maybe we can just start
counting how many days are left. *Another day.

Worst Poker Related Jobs
What is the worst job one could have in poker? Many would
think that a dealer job would be scraping the bottom of the
barrel, but there may be some people at work with worse
jobs. #5. Jerry Yang's Agent
I am not certain, but I don't think this position was ever
actually filled. His lack of doing.
Microgaming Network to Block Data Mining
The Microgaming Network announced this past Thursday that it
is taking step to curb data mining of hand histories such as
those that led to the Isildur1 controversy. From this point
on, any sites on the network will no longer save hand
histories on players computers and users will no longer be
able to download hand histories in bulk. There are many players that are heralding this decision and
thinks that sites such as Full Tilt and PokerStars should
follow suit. However, has anyone stopped to think about a
few things that this type of policy could bring about?
Remember the Pitbull Poker scandal? What was one of the
things that tipped players off that something was amiss? The
fact that the site would not give out hand histories.
Forgive Mark McGwire - Forget Russ Hamilton
In many sports, when a player makes a big mistake, many of
us will forgive that player if they come clean and
apologize. Earlier in the week, former St. Louis Cardinals
superstar Mark McGwire admitted to using steroids during his
career. While this was not a surprise to anyone, McGwire has
dodged the question for a long time.
