A lot of action is going on here tonight at the Rio. The $1,000 NL Holdem Event is heads-up between Steven Gee and Matthew Vance. The $1,500 NL Six-Handed Event is down to its final four players. The $5,000 NL is just about the bubble period.

2010 WSOP Trip - Day 3 - Devouring Helmuth

Day 3 of my trip was bluntly pretty dull.   Started the day in Oklahoma and drove to Texas.   Basically, Texas is pretty much open country outside of the city.   Fields for as far as the eye can see pretty much sums it pretty well.

Isildur1 has apparently accepted Tony G's offer to stake him into PartyPoker's Big Game IV. It is unclear whether or not that Isildur1 will reveal his identity to the world or wear some type of mask to keep people guessing. However, we have a pretty go idea of who Isildur1 is not: *Phil Hellmuth* Someone jokingly made a comment on one news story that Phil was Isildur1. Hellmuth plays too rocky to be Isildur1.

Daniel Negreanu recently made a statement that PEMM wasn't going to help Phil Hellmuth play better but instead, Phil needed to employ LTPB or "Learn to Play Better. "  Well, whether it was PEMM, LTPB, or Diet Pepsi, Phil has made the final table of the Bay 101 Shooting Stars WPT Event.   He spent a good part of Thursday as the chip leader and will enter the final table 2nd in chips behind Andy Seth. Seat 1 - Hassan Habib - 455,000 Seat 2 - Phil Hellmuth - 1,433,000 Seat 3 - Andy Seth - 2,164,000 Seat 4 - Matt Keikoan - 371,000 Seat 5 - McLean Karr - 111,200 Seat 6 - Daniel O'Brien, 1,129,000 Personally, I am rooting for Phil.

Welcome to Bizarro World

Phil Hellmuth is a cash game genius, T. J. Clouiter wins consistently at craps, and Kathy Liebert is the top pro on Full Tilt Poker.   After my last few days of playing online, I am convinced that the prior statements are indeed true as I think I have officially moved into bizarro world.

Phil Hellmuth wins non-Holdem bracelet In a stunning upset, Phil Hellmuth defeated Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler heads-up in the $1,500 Stud 8 or Better event to win his first bracelet outside of Holdem.  Of his accomplishment he said, "I knew that this day would come.   I put so much of myself into every game I play and I know that I can compete in any game out there.
