Just read today's T[http://www. pokerlistings. com/daily-3-bet-duhamel-clocked-weisner-locked-poker-for-glory-82305]hree Bet on Pokerlistings on how German player Martin Finger decided that it was a good idea to sucker punch Jonathan Duhamel in the face. The post goes on to state that Duhamel "likely deserved" a bit of what he got.

Sorel Mizzi Accused of Cheating Yet Again

23 February 2011 , By: compncards
Sorel Mizzi 400x300
It looks like there is a new allegation of cheating involving Sorel Mizzi. This time the accusations stem from John Racener. Actually, the accusation came from Shaun Deeb who was speaking for Racener on 2+2. Essentially, it boils down to Racener and Mizzi were playing high stakes Chinese Poker and Racener says he caught Mizzi dealing from the bottom of the deck.

John Racener's Drunk Driving is NOT Good for Poker

Early Saturday evening, I saw a news blurb on Wicked Chops Poker[http://wickedchopspoker. com/john-racener-arrested-for-third-dui-mugshot/] regarding John Racener being arrested for his THIRD DUI charge.   After doing a little digging, I discovered that this is his third DUI charge in the last five years.   Anyone that knows me well knows my views about alcohol, but this is a case where anyone with any sense at all has to agree that John Racener needs some serious help.

My November Nine Predictions Revisited

4 11 November 2010 , By: compncards
Jonathan Duhamel Main Event Champion 430x296
A couple of days prior to the Main Event, I made four predictions regarding the November Nine final table. I watched the event Saturday and Monday and even last night on ESPN. It was a very entertaining final table leading up to heads-up play. Heads-up, not so much.

2010 WSOP November Nine Heads-Up Update - Jonathan Duhamel Wins 2010 WSOP Main Event

1 9 November 2010 , By: compncards
Duhamel Bracelet 259x300
It all came down to this night. Jonathan Duhamel with a nearly 6 to 1 chip lead over John Racener. Personally, I predicted this heads-up battle before the November Nine and was looking forward to the event. Unfortunately, what we got was pretty much a one sided affair with Duhamel pretty much picking up pots at will.

John Racener Interview - November Nine Draws Near

The new face of Fein energy drink, John Racener, hasn’t been getting much sleep these days, but is it energy drink overload? I would probably guess the answer would be all the nerves, excitement, and build up surrounding the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event final table happening in less than 24 hours. *“I’m extremely excited, I don’t really feel nervous or anything because this is what I do. It’s just something that I’m used to doing, playing poker; obviously it’s the biggest stage I’ll ever be on. I’ve had visions and dreams about hands at the final table, I’m thinking about it 24/7.

WSOP Main Event Day 8 Third Update - More Eliminations, Redraw

1 18 July 2010 , By: compncards
Crowd 200x300
We are still averaging 4 eliminations per level as the first 2 levels saw 8 players go. Will the next two levels bring the same? *Fourth Level* Players came back for the third level of the day with the blinds at 100k/200k and antes of 30k. With 19 players left we were waiting on only one more player to be eliminated before a full-field redraw would happen. *Michiel Sijpkens out in 19th* Sijpkens made a climb up the chip counts briefly before finally plummeting down and then out of the tournament.

WSOP Main Event Day 8 Second Update - Almonds, More Eliminations, Movers

18 July 2010 , By: compncards
250k chips 307x300
After seeing the elimination of 4 players in the first level of play on Day 8, cards are back in the air for the 2nd level with the blinds at 80k/160k and a 20k ante. *Almonds Anyone?* Coming out of the break the floor introduced the almond chips that are worth T250,000. The next color will be mint, so I guess we will have to stick with the almond name. *More Eliminations* Coming back from the break, in one of the first few hands at the outer table Robert Pisano was eliminated in 23rd place.
