WSOP Main Event Day 1c Update – Hellmuth Makes His Grand Entrance, and the Curse of the Feature Table

Feels like groundhog day here at the WSOP today, all the reporters are over writing up day one information and nothing exciting is happening. Well Hellmuth did make his standard entrance to the Main Event today, with some minor technical difficulties. *Helmuth Fights Way Into Amazon Room* What would a WSOP Main Event be without Phil Helmuth making some type of grand entrance, or cry for attention (you be the call). This year was no different from the years past, with him actually having a stage pulled up to the entrance of the conference center here at the Rio for a brief show before he finally arrived.

What is the worst job one could have in poker? Many would think that a dealer job would be scraping the bottom of the barrel, but there may be some people at work with worse jobs. #5. Jerry Yang's Agent I am not certain, but I don't think this position was ever actually filled. His lack of doing.

News has just been released out that Jamie Gold has lost his much publicized agreement with Aced. com poker. Gold and his representatives claim that Aced has not provided payment in connection with promotional services he and his agent provided during an Oscar Night’s poker event and at the Irish Poker Open. This is the second endorsement dealt that has gone sour for Gold since winning the Main Event.
