WSOP Main Event Rematches - Who's In, Who I Want In, and Ratings

The WSOP announced today that they're creating a "made for TV" event for the 2011 WSOP featuring heads-up rematches from previous Main Events. The main attraction is Sam Farha against Chris Moneymaker in a replay of the match that started the poker boom in 2003. Other matches on the schedule are a rematch between Phil Hellmuth and Johnny Chan from the 1989 WSOP and a match that is to be determined by the fans. You can choose Chan vs.

Things were going pretty well for me until the last bracket last night. The first three brackets saw 5 out of 6 of my picks for the elite 8 advance. Then disaster struck during the spades bracket. Phil Ivey fell to Dan Cates.

The NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship kicks off today at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Normally, I don't go too deep in covering this type of event other than giving whom I think will win. This year is different since I actually have some money riding on this thing. I'm currently part of the little bracket contest that @kevmath is holding for the event.

Let’s say you were you playing in a tournament and the following happened: You enter the event being guaranteed a cap of a certain number of players.   However, registration continues past that cap and the number exceeds the cap: Next, you are granted a bye into Round 2 of this event.   When you start the Round 2 match, you have half the chips of your opponent. OR You play Round 1 only to find out that you have to play it again.
