Full Tilt "Ponzi Scheme" Rantings

Since the US DOJ released their amended complaint on Tuesday and called Full Tilt a "Ponzi scheme" there has been a ton of outcry, speculation, rumors, interview, etc from all over the poker world. Here are a few tidbits that I have been personally contemplating.   A few I have expressed, and some I have not. First, am I really one of the only people that finds it both ironic and almost hypocritical that the Poker Player's Alliance is being so vocal during all of this.

The 20 Most Influential People in Poker - #10 - Viktor "Isildur1" Blom

5 May 2011 , By: compncards
Viktor Blom
Due to the April 15th indictments, I was forced to rethink the rest of the Top 20 Most Influential People in Poker list. In fact, the next player on the list fell about three spots as a result. Back in late 2009, a new player exploded on the scene. In a short amount of time, this player took a staggering $5 million from internet superstar Tom Dwan and instantly made himself a high-stakes legend.

The 20 Most Influential People in Poker - #12 - Tom Dwan

5 April 2011 , By: compncards
Tom Dwan
Coming in at #12 on the 20 Most Influential People in Poker list is a pro that needs next to no introduction. This high-stakes pro is both the envy and the target of amateurs and pros around the world. He is the first of the poker "new guard" to rise to superstardom and remains the most sought after cash-game player in all the world. Yes, #12 is durrrr - or Tom Dwan for the non-online types.

Poker Site Campaign Ad Rejects

Antonius Full Tilt
I logged onto Full Tilt to play a little Stud Hi-Lo and inspiration came to me for a new slogan for the site. As such, I figured I would share some ads that were rejected from various sites.    (Ad tag line in photo caption. ) *Full Tilt Poker:* For some reason, Full Tilt thought that trying to convince people they might actually win would be a better way to go: *Poker Player Magazine:* Daniel Negreanu was pegged to be this site's spokesman, but there were privacy concerns: You can talk to these guys about anything.

I read recently that durrrr reminds people of a vampire.   I was watching a video of him on another site just now and had paused it to buffer with him smiling.   I see what people are talking about.   However, I don't get where people thinks he looks like a member of the Twilight cast.

The ballot for the Poker Hall of Fame is shorter by one name and that is Tom "durrrr" Dwan. According to Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council: "With all due respect to Mr. Dwan, one of the games most exciting young players, he does not currently meet the criteria for Hall of Fame selection. We wish him well and expect he will again be considered once he has ‘stood the test of time.
