It Is NOT Time to Ban Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson From the WSOP

I was listening to Bluff Magazine's "The Rundown" yesterday and they mentioned an article on PokerListings. com written by Lee Davy that asked whether Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson should be banned from the World Series of Poker. *The WSOP nor Caesars Have Been Harmed* The first, and most relevant point against the banning of Ferguson and Lederer is the fact that both are in good standing with both Caesars and the World Series of Poker. As players, neither have cheated the company nor behaved inappropriately during their play at the WSOP, or at least not at any level that would warrant a ban.

What Was Doyle Thinking?

Doyle and Howard 430x238
I'd really like to know what Doyle Brunson is thinking. I'm sure that many of you by now have read Doyle's recent Blog post but for those of you that haven't, he essentially says while Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson made "terrible mistakes," he doesn't hold any ill-will towards them and thinks they should be welcomed back into the poker community. The fact that Doyle comes out supporting his friends doesn't surprise me. The fact he's doing so now during a time where he should almost expect to take major heat for his words does.

Since everyone just "loved" my Easter greeting last year, I figured I would keep the tradition going.   Happy Zombie Jesus Day everyone! Or rather, Zombie Chris "Jesus" Ferguson Day! Keep the tradition alive.   Please spread the love of Zombie Jesus Ferguson around to everyone!  So say Jethrobidiah 19:42.

Fake Ferg 200x300
We are almost done with the final Day 2 of the 2010 WSOP which means tomorrow is a much needed day off. Today we searched for Jesus, saw some of the weirdest hands play out and reviewed the terms and conditions of PS and FTP deals. *Will the Real Jesus Please Stand Up* Over the past few days we have noticed quite a few Jesus imitators in the Rio. Today was no different as we came across the following player sitting at a table playing in today's field.

Freakonomics 200x300
While the number 13 may be unlucky for many, for some here today at the World Series of Poker, 13 will prove to be lucky indeed.   Day 13 of the 2010 WSOP is underway with four events having already hit the felt.   The $1,000 NL Holdem from the weekend is on the secondary final table.   The $1,500 Six-Handed NL is down to its final seven players, just one shy of the final.

So we are down to the final table of Event #2 of the World Series of Poker Europe and it looks like the pros are continuing their dominance at the table. JP Kelly took down the Event #1 bracelet to technically make him yet another multi-bracelet winner for 2009. Kelly took the $1,500 PL Holdem event in Vegas this summer. Chris Ferguson finished in 15th.
