Having been permanently attached to the poker computer since the age of fifteen, Norwegian Annette Obrestad didn't need many days of lawful age before extending her online dominance into the live poker world.

Veteran player by the age of 19

She's nineteen years old at this writing, and already a well merited poker superstar. When the Scandinavian Poker Awards for 2007 were handed out in connection with EPT Copenhagen 2008, Annette Obrestad was nominated in two categories. She won them both.

Obrestad was chosen as Female Player of the Year and also won the prize for Achievement of the Year, much thanks to her very impressive victory in the 2008 WSOPE.

At that time, she had already won the Norwegian award called Golden Hand (Gullhånda), previously awarded to such poker nobility as Thor Hansen, the Norwegian godfather of poker with two bracelets and 39 cashes in WSOP.

After the WSOPE victory, Obrestad signed a pro contract with Betfair Poker. She's now playing with the Betfair Team in the big live poker events like EPT, Aussie Millions and .

Youngest WSOP bracelet ever

Three poker awards and a WSOP bracelet before even turning 20 cannot satisfy this Doyle Brunson antipode. Since joining the Betfair team, Obrestad has already made it to an EPT final table, finishing eighth in EPT Dublin.

Few commentators would bet on a soon stop to this fantastic young poker career. Stay tuned and we'll certainly come back with more about the successes of Annette Obrestad.
