Emerald Casino in Gauteng, South Africa, and nobody gives a
damn. You didn't know that there was to be a WSOP Africa event?

WSOP, there was an announcement that the WSOP would hold an
event in Africa. It was going to be the WSOP Africa.

First WSOP Circuit Regional Championship Kicks Off Monday
Monday will kick off the first ever Regional Championship in
WSOP Circuit history. For those of you that don't know, the
WSOP Circuit has revamped itself this year and players at
each stop have a chance to win their way into a
season-ending National Championship event that even awards a
WSOP bracelet. Now, I applaud the WSOP for revamping their circuit events. The buzz around them has been great and the $10,000 Event
Monday should draw a strong crowd.

Too Many "Big Pot" Recaps
Is it me, or does there seem to be a lot more articles
talking about this player or that player taking down a big
pot or they won a couple hundred thousand, etc. Â Â Now,
I understand some of the articles that are involving big
time players like Daniel Negreanu winning a decent amount on
a Televised poker show. Â That is more or less a show
review with an angle. Â However, what is up with telling
us about xyz player winning a 100k pot on PokerStars or Full

discovered" instance of cheating involving UltimateBet, now
UB. com. Blanca Games, the current new owner of the Cereus

Don't Be a Lemming in the Upcoming Election
The Poker Player's Alliance put out a list of 58 candidates
that they support in the upcoming election in November. I
was looking at the list and the candidate they support in my
area is by far one that is not well supported, especially
after his voting record the last two years over major
issues. I don't normally get into politics that much or speak my
mind on it because it is usually a battle of people who
think they cannot be wrong. But in this case, the PPA is
trying to get you to go out and vote on the basis of one

Why I Do Not Agree With Harrington's Hall of Fame Selection
Yesterday, I told you guys about the new nominations for the
Poker Hall of Fame. I saved my opinions until today so to
give them their moment as that moment is definitely earned. Now that we all have had a day to process, I will give my
reasons that the fact that Dan Harrington got into the Hall
before Phil Ivey is utter BS. Reason #1.
2010 Poker Hall of Fame Class Exhibits True Class in Poker
The Poker Hall of Fame announced it's new class today. Erik
Seidel and Dan Harrington were both announced today to be
the 2010 inductees to the Poker Hall of Fame. Dan Harrington is naturally deserving of enshrinement. He
has two WSOP bracelets, including his 2005 Main Event win.
