Producers Screw Up Season Seven of High Stakes Poker

The announcement was made today that Gabe Kaplan is out as the host of High Stakes Poker and in his place, we get comedian Norm McDonald.   In addition, this season if High Stakes Poker will be in 3-D.   Also, no Full Tilt Pro's will appear on the show. First, I hate the McDonald move.

Anthony Carleo - Dumbass of the Year

On December 14th, a robbery occurred at the Bellagio in Las Vegas that resulted in approximately $1. 5 million in chips being stolen from the casino. Most of these chips were in $25,000 denominations. The culprit was caught on Wednesday when 29-year-old Anthony Carleo was arrested and charged.

Greg Raymer Out as PokerStars Pro

It appears that the latest player to cut online poker sponsorship ties is 2004 WSOP Main Event winner Greg "Fossilman" Raymer. While an official announcement has not been made as of yet, Raymer no longer appears on the site as a sponsored pro. Rumor has it that PokerStars officials were playing hardball at the recent PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and told sponsored pros that they had to take a cut in pay or no longer be sponsored.   It appears that Raymer has taken the later.

Five Reasons the All-Time Money List is Outdated

Recently, Daniel Negreanu overtook Phil Ivey for the top spot on the all-time money list for poker. Erik Seidel also moved up to 3rd all-time  off the strength of three performances this month in high roller events. The most recent being a $2. 5 million score from a Super High Roller's Event at the PCA with a $250,000 buy-in.
