Hellmuth's Thinking Flawed Regarding D.C. iGaming
Phil Hellmuth recently told the Washington Post that he
didn't feel Washington D. C. 's upcoming iGaming site will be
successful. His primary reasoning was that the site will be unattractive
to the typical online pro because the games will likely be
Same Old Stories With Jean-Robert Bellande and Isildur1
Is anyone else besides myself getting tired of hearing about
Isildur1 and Jean-Robert Bellande? Seriously. I read in my Twitter timeline today that Bellande has a
bankroll of $400. A little while later I read how Isildur1
took another big loss at the tables after booking a big win
at the tables. Once and for all, here is the basic storyline for both

Trust No One - And Do Your Own Data Mining
"Trust Everyone, but always cut the cards" is a well known
saying by Benny Binion. With online poker, we should probably change that to "Trust
no one and do your own data mining. "
When the first reports came out regarding Jose Macedo, the
"Portuguese Poker Prodigy," I was among the players that
called bullshit. A lot about the story seemed fabricated and
read like the poker equivalent of the "Movie of the Week.

Redhead of the Month - August - The Russian Spy
After a brief absence due to the WSOP, my Redhead of the
Month column has returned. This month, I bring you a figure that is loosely known in
poker but is much more of a celebrity worldwide - just maybe
not in the best of circumstances. The August Redhead of the Month is Russian Spy Anna Chapman. Why would a Russian spy make a Redhead of the Month list on
a poker site?
Well, she does have the Iphone app "Poker with Anna

Qureshi Admits to Chip Dumping and Cover-up for Prodigy Scam
A couple of days ago, I wrote a blog about the Portuguese
Scamming Prodigy, aka Jose "Girah" Macedo. In that blog, I talked about Girah's admissions of guilt in
his blog, etc. Now, even more evidence has come out
regarding the case, including an admission by Haseeb Qureshi
that makes things look even worse. On Wednesday, Bluff Magazine posted a interview with Qureshi
where he admitted to chip dumping to Macedo,
multi-accounting on numerous occasions on both Lock Poker
and on TwoPlusTwo, helping to cover up the scandal, and even
admitted that he didn't verify that Girah's stats were real.

Negreanu Blog Against Epic Poker League - Concern or Hatred?
Daniel Negreanu has been very vocal about not playing in the
first Epic Poker League Main Event. He took to his blog earlier today and outlined his reasons
why he did not play in the EPL. After his blog was posted,
Mike Matusow made the following statement on Twitter:

Full Tilt Finally Pays Out - Just Not to You
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission announced today
that Full Tilt has paid the license fees that were due. According to reports, this amount was reported to be around
$410,000. In its statement regarding the matter, the AGCC claimed
that "The recent payment of overdue license fees by FTP is
also in playersâ best interests since it allows
commercial negotiations to take place that might result in a
successful refinancing deal. "
If you read between the lines, that basically equates to "We
will give them their license back should Full Tilt secure a

Fluffy Bunnies Make Windex Shine While Playing Poker
We are officially in the post-WSOP doldrums. I've been
perusing the various sites for news and, as expected, there
is your typical mix of relevant poker news and filler. The problem is that there seems to be a lot of filler. The
fluffy bunnies are now playing poker it seems.
