Anna Wroblewski

Anna Wroblewski started playing poker online when she was 18 and has been playing on and off ever since. Upon turning 21, she began hitting the tournament poker circuit. She had limited success at first but things really turned around when she won the $3,000 Five Star World Poker Classic at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in 2007 for $337,395.

Anna enjoys playing no limit cash games and tournaments. She is looking forward to continuing her run to the World Series of Poker and trying to collect some bracelets in 2009.

Anna's poker success story is a familiar one. When she first got into the game, she was fascinated by it. She took to the game instantly -- and lost.

Like many future greats before her, she went broke several times. She built up some serious debts while suffering through a bad run and even had to take out loans. At one point, she got a regular job and her boss found out that she was a poker player. He gave her $400 to take a shot and finally, it paid off. She used the money to win a satellite into the $2,000 at the Five Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas and won $7,290 as a result for a 16th place finish.

Then she won another satellite into the $3,000 Five Star World Poker Classic, won it, besting poker star Eric Lindgren in the process, and never looked back. The rest is history. Even in the face of adversity, Anna never gave up, and now has hundreds of thousands of poker tournament cashes to her credit.

Her impressive poker resume now includes four World Series of Poker cashes and two World Poker Tour main event cashes to her credit. This includes a final table appearance at the $2,000 No Limit Hold'em event in the 2007 WSOP, where she finished an impressive 4th for $192,876, fending off some impressively strong competition in players such as Roland DeWolfe, Joe Pelton, Nick Frangos and David Singer.
