What's the longest session you've ever played?

Well, 40 to 50 hours I guess. That was not special occasion, I was just playing tournaments on the internet. But I never play when I'm tired, then I just go to bed. Normally I'd play like eight or ten hours.

But lately I haven't had time to play much at all, there's been so much going on and I've been traveling a lot.

How much have you won in one session?

Well, I don't play cash games. I only play tournaments. So that's obviously the WSOPE where I won $2 million.

When did you have a poker-free week?

Well, I guess that's right now, ha ha. I'm perfectly fine with that. I didn't go to Vegas to play poker, I just wanted to relax a bit. We talk so much about poker anyway so I don't really miss it. And I talk a lot of strategy with a couple of guys who are playing in the Main Event right now. Two of them were eliminated, the two others are alive with 26,000 and 42,000 in chips.

But of course it's a little frustrating not to be playing today.

Have you ever chosen poker over a partner?

Ha ha, many many times. That's an easy choice. If you're a poker player, your partner has to understand that poker is important for you.

How many of your friends play poker?

I would say that 80 percent of them play poker. Most of them are the people that I travel with. The friends at home typically go to school, and they're mostly girls, so they don't play much poker. That's allright, I like it like that.

Do you use a lot of poker language when not talking poker?

Ha ha, oh yes. Everything's a bad beat. "What a suckout!" Yes, sure. And my friends who don't play poker have heard that so much by now that they understand it too.

What's the most expensive thing you've destroyed after a bad beat?

Well, I actually don't get that upset when I get a bad beat. I don't think I've destroyed anything. Yet.

My worst bad beat must have been in the 2007 Dublin EPT. After that I was on super tilt. Then I went straight home to bed and went to sleep, I couldn't talk to anyone, I was so pissed off.

How long did you need to settle down after that?

It's still just as bad, I'll probably never get over it! I was up 8-to-1 against a guy who didn't know how to play at all. But I just wouldn't hit anything. That's just how it is, I guess.

Are you into crazy side bets?

No, no big bets. We're making some small bets when we're out traveling. And I don't usually do any side bets at the poker table.

Who's the biggest poker junkie in the world?

Oh dear, oh dear. Hmm, I really don't know. There's so many of them!

What do you have cooking in the near future?

I'll play the Ladbrokes Poker Million in the end of July. Then EPT Barcelona in September. I'll play most of the EPT Events during the fifth season.

Then, of course, there's the WSOP Europe a couple of weeks after Barcelona. I have a lot to defend there, and I'm really looking forward to it. WSOPE a great tournament as well, it has such a good blind structure. It's actually even better than in the WSOP Main Event.
