A Few Poker Tips

See it really doesn?t even matter if you look at your cards, now here me out before you jump to conclusions. When I?m playing it doesn?t matter what two cards I am holding, its relative too what two cards my opponent has. If I know he?s on a draw or hoping to catch his ace on the turn or river and misses, I can proceed to bet aggressively to pick up the pot. Now you may say well what if you cant read your opponent, well then poker is not for you my friend. You have to understand the key elements of knowing when to bet, call and fold, which are all relative to knowing your opponent. I learned a few successful strategies that have made me thousands of dollars, and thankfully im going to share those secrets with you.

Pointer #1
Be in control of the game, meaning you need to play every hand you play strong. For example, preflop don?t limp in late position with a pair of twos or 76s, those are losing situations, the probability of you hitting your hand is low, and even if you hit your set of trips, or hit your flush, its not the nuts. This can cause you to lose a lot of money if you?re playing against better trips or a higher flush, and not know when to throw your hand away, you wont be able to get away from kq2 flop if you hit your set of twos. Forget limping, it?s either your raising or your folding. Its hard to play every-hand aggressively but play fewer hands and focus on playing them strongly, money and the fear you extract from people will be amazing.

Pointer #2
It takes a better hand to call with, than to raise with. For example, you might make a raise in late position with no callers with ATo to hopefully pick up the blinds and win the hand easily. But in no means is this a calling hand infront of a raise, hands like ATs/o AJs/o should be easily mucked because you are out of position and cant make that call. I see it happen especially in tournaments, a player will go all in with KK and someone will call the all in with AT or even worse Ax. The caller ends up busting out and losing 20-30 bucks on a stupid hand that should be obvious. Would you make that same call if you knew your odds of winning were about 3.5:1 of losing that hand. That means a hand like KK will beat AJ about almost 1 out of every 4.5 hands. The really only way a hand like AJ will win is if you hit your Ace. Dont go all in or call with bad aces like AJ AT Ax, they are difficult to play, and you more often then not will end up with a second best hand. Raise with them in late position but don?t be caught dead calling a raise with them.
