Gavin Smith wins the WPT Mirage Poker Championship

Canadian poker player Gavin Smith of Waterloo, Canada captured the 1st win of the World Poker Tour Season 4 by winning the Mirage Poker Showdown and 1.1 Million dollars.

Gavin came into the day short stacked and looking to move up a couple spots in the money but after catching some good breaks Gavin saw himself competing for the tilte against one of the top poker pros in the world, Ted Forrest.

It took just 4 hands as they battled heads for Gavin to beat Ted Forrest, Gavin had nearly a 4:1 chip lead on Ted when they began the heads up battle.
