Hassan earned most of his chips from Michael Mizrachi when they had a big confrentation. Mizrachi had nearly 4 million in chips and was well on his way to another WPT final table when he got into a confrontation with Hasan, Michael pushed all in preflop against Habib putting Hassan to the test, Hassan ended up calling with his queens and dominating Mizrachi's 66. Hassan spiked a queen on the flop and crippled Mizrachi and he was all in a few hands later and was knocked out in 11th place by Rob Hollink. John Phan known as "The Dragon" was 2nd on the player of year leaderboard heading into this final tournament just behind Michael Mizrachi but after making it deeper then Mizrachi he will take over as leader of the CardPlayer player of the year standings. John is one of the top players on the tour though like many Viatanemese players he doesn't get nearly as much recognition that he deserves from the media. He's going into the final short stacked but if he can double up early then I think he's a favorite to win the tournament.

Phil Ivey has yet to win a WPT event even though he has made multiple final table appereances, will Ivey have the cards today to pull out a victory. 1st place earns 2.8 million so you can be assured they will all be putting up a fierce battle to capture the 1st place title.
