"I think that its a terrible thing to do when you make it to the final table of the biggest tournament in the world," Marquis writes about his fellow 2008 WSOP Main Event finalist.

You know the story: Kelly Kim came to the final-table short-stacked and folded himself into eighth place in the 2008 WSOP Main Event, winning an extra $388,000.

Instead of Kim, Craig Marquis busted out first, and he is very critical of the way Kelly Kim played. Marquis has posted his opinions about Kim in a poker forum:

"Simply put he did not show up to play poker or take a shot at winning, he wanted to try to eek 8th place prize money out of things. Indeed the end result would've likely been the same had he just stayed home," Marquis wrote.

"While this is all well and good and he is certainly entitled to do this and it ended up working out for him, I think that its a terrible thing to do when you make it to the final table of the biggest tournament in the world."

When confronted with this by another player during a game a Full Tilt Poker, Kim wrote the following in the chat:

"i blinded yes, but i never had a hand i felt comfortable moving with given that i had to win a showdown and i lost fold equity"

"honestly when i was first one in in late position I had hands like 64, 92, 105. u need a bit more than that to just shove."

PokerJunkie definitely agrees with Marquis here. You can just sit there and fold at the final table of the WSOP Main Event. Sooner or later, Kelly Kim will realize that he wasted an opportunity of a lifetime!
